Earthquakes in Italy continues. The number of deaths has reached 272 people

Earthquakes continue to disturb the inhabitants of Italy and worry other countries. The new underground impulse force 4.3 on the Richter scale was recorded at 00.55 local time (01.55 Kyiv) in the location of the administrative center of the Italian area of Abruzzo - Aquila city, where in the night of April 6 there was a devastating earthquake, ITAR-TASS reported with reference in the service of monitoring of the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology.

According to local law enforcement agencies, this time there were no casualties.

- Earthquake victims will be buried on April,10. Good Friday is the day of mourning.

However, the number of victims of the first night of the earthquake increased. According to the latest figures, the earthquake killed 272 people, more than 1.5 thousand were injured. Nearly 18 thousand people became homeless. The earthquake destroyed more than half Aquila - the administrative center of the province of Abruzzo, the RBC reports.

Previously, it was reported that among the dead, there were two Ukrainians - a seven-year-old girl and a young woman. The father of the dead girl, recalling the words of his wife in Italy, asserts that there are much more victims than television broadcasts and the authorities inform.

The funerals of victims of the devastating earthquake in Italy, appointed on 10 April, Good Friday on the Catholic calendar. According to the Decision of the Government, it is declared a day of national mourning.

According to the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Italy, Roberto Maroni, rescue work will continue until Easter Sunday, April 19.

Earthquake measuring 6.3 points, the consequences of which worried the whole world, occurred in the night of Monday in the area of Abruzzo in central Italy. Already, it is considered the most extensive in the past 30 years.

However, the seismic activity in central Italy continues. Fluctuations in the Earth’s crust have been recorded in the area of Abruzzo, and on Tuesday and Wednesday. They were clearly felt in Rome and other locations metropolitan region of Lazio.

As a result of repeated tremors, the buildings are finally destoyed, which suffered from the first earthquake.

In the vicinity of Aquila two dozen villages had been destroyed. Thousands of volunteers helped rescuers and psychologists  assist victims and their relatives. Almost all countries and organizations expressed their willingness to help, including Ukraine and the United Nations.
